White grubs represent a complex of beetle larvae in the family Scarabaeidae that are common pests of agricultural and horticultural systems. Often called scarab beetles, the family consists of over 30,000 species world-wide. The larvae, or grubs, of several species are common pests of turfgrass. These species include the Japanese beetle, masked chafers (2 species), European chafer, Asiatic garden beetle, Oriental beetle, green June beetle, May/June beetles (several species), and black turfgrass ataenius.
White grubs damage a variety of warm- and cool-season grasses while feeding in the soil matrix on organic matter, thatch and plant roots. The distribution of these species overlaps significantly and it is not uncommon to find mixed populations of two or more species at a single location.

Metarhizium Anisopliae Bio Insecticides
Product Brochure
Packaging Size | 50 L |
Brand | Jaiveek Food & Fertilizer |
Technical Name | Metarhizium Anisopliae |
Packaging Type | Drum |
Form | Liquid |
Features | 100% Organic |
Country of Origin | Made in India |
Metarhizium Anisopliae Bio Insecticides is an entomopathogenic fungus that infects insects that come in contact with it. Once the fungus spores attach to the surface of the insect, germinate and begin to grow, they then penetrate the exoskeleton of the insect and grow very rapidly inside the insect causing the insect to die. Other insects that come in contact with infected insects also become infected with the fungus.
It is a biological insecticide based on a selective strain of naturally-occurring entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium anisopliae. It contains spores and mycelial fragments of M. anisopliae. It is available in liquid (1x108 CFU's/ml).
Mode of Action
When the spore of this fungus comes in contact with the cuticle (skin) of the target insect pests, it germinates and grows directly through the spiracle cuticle in to the inner body of the host. The fungus proliferates throughout the insect's body, draining the insect of nutrients and the infected insects eventually dies.
Features
- It does not affect the natural enemies of the pest.
- It is safe to beneficial parasites and beneficial predators and thus offers long-lasting pest control.
- It forms a good molecule for use in an IPM programme
Benefits
- It effectively controls the economically important pests of crops such as leaf hoppers, root grubs, Borers, cutworms, termites, palm weevils.
- It helps to increase productivity by improving the crop health through containing the pests.

Bacillus thuringiensis (BT) is a naturally-occurring, spore-forming, soil-dwelling bacterium which is used as biological
pesticide. BT occurs naturally in the gut of caterpillars, on leaf surfaces, aquatic environments, animal feces, insect-
rich environments, flour mills and grain-storage facilities. BT experiences sporulation when their are limited resources.
During sporulation, many BT strains produce crystal proteins (proteinaceous inclusions), called endotoxins that have been
known for decades to display insecticidal action against some insect groups.
The endospores are released through sporulation upon contact with the insect after spraying. This process includes
ingestion of the Crystal protein by a vulnerable insect, solubilization, and processing from a protoxin to an activated
toxin core in the insect's digestive fluid. This results in cell parallysis and eventually death of the insect. Time taken
for the occurrence of death is dependent on the presence of specific receptor sites on the insect's gut wall. This has led
to their use as insecticides and more recently to genetically modified crops using BT genes, such as BT corn.
TARGET CROPS:-
Vegetables (Tomato, Cabbage, Cauliflower), Cotton, Pulses, Paddy, Chilli, Okra etc
